This is a great little thermometer. It floats, is easy to read and is accurate. It also has a loop on top that allowed me to tether the thermometer to the safety rope hook.

The gauge is easy to read and doesn't require a
magnifying glass. It floats with nearly all of the thermometer itself under water to give a good reading of most of the water, not just the surface. Has a decent weight and casing, and best of all it was a good price. Recommend.

It floats and seems to be fairly accurate temp wise, but I was expecting an easier to read scale. The 10 degree lines are only marked every other one. For young eyes it is fine, but if you have any trouble seeing without glasses, look for one with larger numbers.
I later determined that it registers at least 3 degrees too high as compared with two other thermometers.
