A brilliant electro-tech-house mix from Tiga - better than Sexor?!, February 25, 2006
This review is from: Inthemix 5: Mixed By Tiga & Ajax (Audio CD)
Like many of you, I've been waiting for Tiga's debut album, Sexor, for quite a long time - although it just came on out on import, it still isn't available in the States - and even then, I feel it's a tad disappointing; sure the singles are there, but not much more - but THIS brilliant double-mix-CD by TIGA and Australian DJ AJAX is a value-for-the-$ collection of the coolest, hottest electro-tech-house tracks of today and tomorrow - really, not one bad track in the mix, including several of Tiga's own hard to find singles & remixes - I especially like traxx/mixes from Justus Kohncke, Thomas Anderson, Dieter Schmidt, Freeform Five, and more - if you tried to buy all these import/promo 12"s to create this mix, you'd have to spend hundreds of dollars, so $20 bucks is a steal!

OUTSTANDING BEATS TO CUT A RUG, October 4, 2006
This review is from: Inthemix 5: Mixed By Tiga & Ajax (Audio CD)
I would have to agree with traveler, the review below me. Tiga has great beats, but in comparison to Ajax... between these 2 discs... Ajax outweighs Tiga by far. The tempo is pretty constant throughout--Walking speed; not too fast or too slow. Comparable to the "Stars On 45" tempo or "Donna Summers - I Feel Love". Throw this on at any place that involves dancin' and the night is set. Guaranteed u will have many asking who it is and where u got it*.

Ajax arrives - and delivers!, October 1, 2006
This review is from: Inthemix 5: Mixed By Tiga & Ajax (Audio CD)
When I bought this compilation I was a bit concerned because I had never heard of Ajax - - but loved Tiga's work and just KNEW that it would be good. I was totally blown away to find that, in comparison to Ajax, the Tiga cd was fairly repetetive and bland. Ajax has kicked out an energetic and eclectic mix of works that snaps the synapses - fantastic stuff, and I'm wanting more. After this, Tiga needs to leave his planet and get back to Earth!
