3.0 out of 5 stars Good conference, inspiring...but could have been better, January 14, 2006
This review is from: Into Evidence: Truth, Lies and Unresolved Mysteries in the Murder of JFK (DVD)
While I recommend this dvd set, as I originally sang the praises of this inspiring conference held at my alma mater, Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA (11/03), it has not "aged" well. Meaning, while 1500+ paying people showed up and some of the speakers were good, much of the information was too esoteric and/ or out in left field for the general public---and even a certain segment of seasoned researchers---to grasp the bottom-line importance of.
There should have been more dynamic, charismatic speakers like Dr. Cyril Wecht himself, as well as more of an emphasis on bottom-line, hard evidence (examples---Drs. Mantik and Aguilar, whom I know and admire greatly, gave much better presentations at COPA 1995 and 1996). At this late date, the public, and even the jaded research community, wants the big picture stuff, so to speak; the forest from the trees.
I saw way too many yawning people for my taste when this conference was shown on PA cable tv. The NUMBER of people who showed up, as well as the QUALIFICATIONS of the speakers was A+; the content would be about a B-

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Incredible, June 24, 2006

This review is from: Into Evidence: Truth, Lies and Unresolved Mysteries in the Murder of JFK (DVD)
This is an extremely long, eight-DVD examination of the JFK assassination that occured at Dequense University in 2004. I have seen about half of it, but what I saw was pretty incredible. It proves without a doubt that the murder of JFK was not conducted by the lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald. Some of the speakers even raise the question whether Oswald even fired a shot! One of the best moments is when Arlen Spector (the magic bullet man) takes the stage and he is torn to pieces by the other members of the panel! The murder of JFK is a very interesting issue; the government keeps on telling the American public, as it has for over 40 years, that Oswald was the lone gunman, but the vast majority of the American public (into the 80 percent or more) continue to reject this story and believe there was a conspiracy. I find it hard to believe that over 80 percent of the American public could be wacko conspiracy theorists.
