Another get to your feet and dance now song!, March 3, 2008
This review is from: Into the Night (Audio CD)
This is one you dance to in the kitchen while doing dishes or for your boyfriend in the shower by candlelight.
Santanas' unmeasurable talent paired with OH SO SEXY Chad Kroegers' voice is just weak in the knees FANTASTIC.
I heard this at 2 am on the radio and found myself waking up and doing the "in your seat dance" at 75mph.
I'm a HUGE fan of both Santana and Chad Kroeger so this is just music from heaven if you ask me. I haven't even had time to get into the lyrics or what the song is about. (hey I was up at 2am I'm tired!) but I just HAD to tell yet one more person what a great song this is!

superb melding of styles for the sophiscated music lover, June 14, 2008
This review is from: Into the Night (Audio CD)
Great song, written by kroeger and driven by santana. The lyrics seem simple umtil you realize hat the chant is jahweh in the ancient way and then the song takes on new meaning

Latin rocker meets his match-and there's no spark!, November 4, 2007
This review is from: Into the Night (Audio CD)
Carlos Santana is a luminary in Latin rock. He brought it into the mainstream with songs such as "Oye como va" and "Black Magic Woman." He performed at the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock. He dabbled in jazz fusion. Santana's immense talent is indisputable; that's why I'm giving this two stars.
In "Into the Night",Santana collaborates with Nickelback's Chad Kroeger (Croaker, perhaps, since he sounds like a frog?)in this sappy duet about Finding Salvation With an Angelic Woman. Santana's electrifying guitar playing remains very much in the background, relegated to the sidelines. Unfortunately, Kroeger's terrible vocalizing dominates (I won't give it the dignity of calling it singing) In a sense, the collaboration is an ironic melding of a Latin rock pioneer&a Canadian hack...a meeting of the spicy with the bland. It would be like having authentic, spicy Mexican mole&topping it with Taco Bell's mild salsa. It doesn't work. "Into the Night" is an "exclusive, previously unreleased" track for the recent "Ultimate Santana" compilation. It should've remained unreleased.
