SoCal Soul with theremins!,

This review is from: Into the Oh (Audio CD)
Sacred Cow, Geggy Tah's second offering, was lots of fun, light and surprisingly addictive. "Whoever You Are", Tommy Jordan's ode to a kindly fellow driver, briefly brought the rhythm guitar back onto mainstream radio with the song's sparkling good humor, and "Gina" must be--from a woman's point of view--the most erotic song ever written. In short, fun froth that was flatteringly intricate enough to keep me waiting for #3. But this is amazing! This is Geggy Tah smarter, more musically confident, and yet still danceable, unpretentious, sparkling and pretty. Tommy Jordan's voice like fizzy pop: perfect summer listening. He and Greg Kurstin write earthy, funky tunes, embued with healthy lust (withness "Gina" and Into The Oh's "Sweat"). Occasionally Jordan himself even slips into the profound: "Dumb Submarine" is definitely the standout track, although "One Zero" and "Holly Oak" are excellent. "I'll Find My Way" is more Santana than Santana, but that's the most you can pin down their sound. And Jordan and Kurstin's lyrics are clever, prompting you to fumble for the CD insert. Can't say that about many bands these days... Bright, sunlit, and a little older now, Geggy Tah continue to delight. I can't wait for #4, but this will do handsomely for the present.

Geggy Tah is still with us!,

The first time I listened to this CD, I felt the sudden urge to play it again and again. Even though Geggy Tah has taken quite a break between their last album and "Into the Oh," it is obvious that they haven't lost their knack for creating some of the best music I've ever heard. I only wish that more people knew about Geggy Tah so that they could be appreciated on a grander scale. For everyone out there who adores, or even moderately enjoys Geggy Tah, you will love "Into the Oh" to no end.

This band is a unique blend of jazzy, loungy, pop music that is addiciting! Their sound is relaxing, their lryics are intense and their overall vibe is inviting. I can't think of a single band to compare them to... If you are in the market for some outstanding music, look no farther. Into the Oh will leave you yearning for more...

The best Geggy Tah yet,

All that is wonderful about Geggy Tah is smoothed, polished, and delicately crafted into this album. This is a more produced album than the previous - I feel like they are finally hitting their potential here. Tommy Jordan's vocals (and lyrics!) dance!

Maybe it's just me, but I keep expecting each new Geg CD to be as spectacular as their first - Grand Opening. Who doesn't yearn for another classic like P. Sluff?
That said, if you liked their second effort (or the song they had on that car commercial), you'll probably enjoy Into the Oh. But if you're looking for the funk that was on Grand Opening, keep looking.

Geggy Tah, Geggy Wow!,

I have been waiting a long time for Geggy Tah's next offering. Sacred Cow was such an eclectic blend of pop, funk, and rhythmic sounds. All in all SuperCreativeTunes! I could not wait to see what Geggy Tah would come up with next. I was not disappointed. Into The 0h picks up where Sacred Cow leaves off, including an opening from Grandpa (this is the coolest thing). What can I say? Geggy Tah makes me want to bop my head in that tell tell white man's overbite way, ride in a car with the top down, and drink something chilled all at the same time. Holly Oak, Love is in Love, as well as the metaphoric Dumb Submarine. It was worth the wait Geggy Guys, keep up the great work.

I love finding the true bargain on excellence. I love finding excellent wines and then watching for superb case sales. Getting a fanastic wine for $8 a bottle is a joy. Geggy Tah is truely excellent music for those love the perfect marriage of rhythm and melody. Now that you can get them for $.35...WOW what a deal.
