5.0 out of 5 stars Definite FIGHT boxset !!
This FIGHT boxset is incredible.. First of all, it contains the three Fight albums, or should I say the three Fight masterpieces.... Mutations EP has not been available for years so it's a real treat to finally have it, in a remastered version. A Small Deadly Place has not only been remastered but remixed and the new version is totally awesome, the whole album really...

1.0 out of 5 stars Fight - Remastered . . . Again???? Let's see 1, 2, 3 . . . I have lost count.
Well I do not know how many more times they can re-release the same material, but they have mamaged to do it again. Nothing new here. The concert is from the Mason Jar, Phoenix, AZ and has been readlily available and the other music is just basically louder. At this point I can only hope and wish for Milli Vanilli to remaster their CD. This has to be a record for the most...

Mutations EP has not been available for years so it's a real treat to finally have it, in a remastered version. A Small Deadly Place has not only been remastered but remixed and the new version is totally awesome, the whole album really sound different, heavier, with different vocals and all !

And last but not least, the Live in Phoenix show which is the first Fight show in a small club, and it is incredible, extremely powerful even if the image is not that great.

So definitely, theis box-set is a MUST HAVE for every Fight fans, or Rob's fans, or metal fans :) !

Fight remastered & remixed is great!
The remixed sound that Roy Z has done is clean & more powerful.
Having said that, I still think some of the original mixes of some tracks
should have stayed the same as on the original releases.
Also why didn't they leave or keep the hidden tracks, "Jesus Saves"-War of Words & "Psycho Suicide"-Small Deadly Space albums, as they are fantastic songs.I would keep the origanal releases as they will we become collectors items.
Great box set if you are a die hard Fight fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars halford speed metal band, March 9, 2010

I am more of a fan of traditional metal and hard rock than speed metal. But this set is a good one of the speed metal type because it has the gigantically talented Rob Halford in it. I would say however that if he weren't in this band I wouldn't have bought this set. That's how much his presence means to this effort in my book. It's got alot of music for a great price though; and if you like speed metal you'll really dig it as one of the better of that type of metal. But if you are like me and rarely listen to any metal that's not traditional , or melodic type (scorpions, priest, helloween, kiss, iron maiden , ufo, girlschool, gary moore, van halen, aerosmith ,runaways, led zeppelin, def leppard etc,) or earlier 1960's-70's hard rock-metal then you'd be better off buying some regular priest disc instead of this one. But if you can occasionally enter into this type of metal then this would be a great one to get for it's large amount of music for a great price , excellent musicians play on this one as well so that's another bonus for a buyer too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great box set making old material sound new., January 24, 2010

This review is from: Into the Pit (3 CD/1 DVD) (Audio CD)
This box set contains all three FIGHT albums, "War of Words", "Mutations" and "A Small Deadly Space". The studios album have been remixed and remastered, while the remix "EP" has been remastered as well (it was already remixed, as that was the point to begin with.) It also comes with a DVD of a live performance at Phoenix.

The first album, 1993's "War of Words" is material very similar to what the next Priest album would have been like had Rob not left. After all, he still had Scott Travis on drums. The 2nd album, 1995's "A Small Deadly Space" has Rob experimenting with the sound to mesh with the state of metal music in the mid-'90s. More of a 'core sound to it. This album was not quite received as well as the first one due to that fact, but with this new remaster and remix, that strange 'core vibe is gone to some extent. Or maybe it's just that after 15 years, that particular vibe doesn't bother metal fans as much, as we've all been inudated by it so much that we've grown accustomed to that sound.

But anyway, the remixed and remastered sound on these discs makes these three early '90s releases sound quite modern. Much heavier. More bass. They sound like they were recorded yesterday. This is the way remastering and remixing should be done. Metallica take note. Same thing to Dave Mustaine as well, for his contraversial 2004 remixing of the Capitol Records releases. Don't have to change the tempo or whatever, just bring out the sound of the instruments that were already there.

I have all theses albums uploaded on YouTube at my channel "Lincoln6Echo1" in 720p HD quality. Check'em out.
