First off, ignore everyone that says Aly & AJ are just another spawn off of the Disney entertainment congolmerate. Though one of the sisters, Aly, started her mainstream career on Disney Channel's TV show "Phil of the Future" and then created this album with her sister Amanda, you should know that these girls have been involved in the world of music since a very young age. Unlike some of the Disney spawns who just randomly decide "hey, I think I want to sing", Aly & AJ have had their time coming. They have been writing songs since a very young age. In fact, all but 3 of the songs on the album were written or co-written by them.

You should probably know that I am 21 years old, way outside of the target demographic, but that is changing. I was first exposed to their music when my sister dragged me to Disneyland last August to see them perform live. Like most, I had the pre-conceived image in my head of Disney girls gone singers. Boy was I wrong. The first I ever heard from them was "Rush" live, followed by some more songs off of the album. I was so impressed that I bought the original copy of the CD almost instantly.

I myself have seen them perform live 6 times as well as met them, and I can honestly say that they are real. Live performances have no pre-recorded or lipsynched elements to it. They are real on stage. Guitars are played, songs are sung, and it sounds beautiful. It's a shame in recent times, many idols of their target teenage girl have fallen victim to presentation rather than talent. I say, the more talent you have, the better presentation will be given anyways.

On that note: even if you do have the original copy of "Into the Rush", I HIGHLY recommend buying the upgrade. I already owned the original, as well as the Japanese Import and I didn't hesitate one moment to buy the Deluxe Edition. If anything the song "Chemicals React" is worth it. When the song first debuted, it totally blew me away. The other new song "Shine" is also another one of their amazing surprises. Though not my favorite (but far from my least favorite) song, I felt like this song was sort of like dipping their feet into the pool before diving in. A way to gauge the response to the somewhat different style to see if they want to keep steering that direction. I say go for it.

The remixes of "Something More" and "Collapsed" also give a new feel to the album. "Something More" feels more hard than its original counterpart. More agressive chords, and lively beats are used in the chorus as well as throughout the song. By a pretty good margin, I do have to admit that "Collapsed" has been improved quite a bit. I was already a huge fan of the song before, but this remixed version gives new meaning to the song. It starts out roughly the same, but soon after a pseudo 80's style band backs up the vocals instead of the more hardcore sound of the original. I love the diversity the song has as well as the unorthodox-ness of the whole layout of the song.

BUY THE ALBUM

Aly and AJ have done it again! This CD is soooo amazing! There are 3 new songs on it (Never Far Behind, Chemicals React, and Shine). There are 2 remixes (Collapsed and Something More). There is a bonus fold out poster which has a great picture of Aly and AJ on it. All the songs have positive messages and are easily relatable. You can really tell these sisters have a passion for their music and for life. They have so much energy, creativity, and talent and each song conveys that. I love this CD and recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!!!!

After buying this cd I wondered if it was really worth the buy. I was worried that I wouldn't be interested in all the songs. (I had only really gotten this cd cause it had Chemicals React on it.) But I was wrong! This cd completely blew me away! Every song has a message on it! Also every song is kid-friendly and is uplifting. It sorta makes you want to dance and sing along to it! Ok, so I may be 30, but I'm not too old to listen to these young ladies. I was a bit bashful about buying the CD. I didn't want to seem like I was trying to be a teeny bopper, but honestly I love it. It's upbeat and safe to listen to around my children without being "she'll be comming around the mountain". It's real music from some really talented young women. I expect to see them around for a while.

I have been a fan of Aly & AJ since I first heard their first song -Do You Believe in Magic? This new CD is the Deluxe Edition of their first CD "Into The Rush ". It proves they just keep getting better!
The first single from CD is Chemical Reacts and it is Aly & AJ at their rocking best. This song should be # 1 ! The next new song is Shine which is a great,inspiring song that should also be a #1 single someday. The other new song- Never Far Behind is very good. This CD features two new mixes of Something More & Collapsed which have a rougher, more edgy sound than on the original CD. I loved the new versions! CD has all the other songs from the original including their hits : Rush , No One, Do You Believe in Magic ? and Walking on Sunshine.
The 17 songs on this CD prove that Aly & AJ are the best young pop rock group. The fact that they write the songs and play guitars helps them stand out too.
The Deluxe Edition comes with a DVD that has videos of Chemical React & Rush. Also a cool animated video of the Simlish version of Chemical Reacts.Package also contains a pull out poster of the talented sisters.
If you don't have the original CD- you should definitely get this CD. If you have the original, the 3 new songs , 2 remixes & extras make it worthwhile- if you can afford it.
Note for parents- Aly & AJ sing clean, age appropriate music that your teens can enjoy. This would make a great back to school or a Christmas gift !

Kudos, Applause and A Standing Ovation to ALY & AJ! I just cant praise them enough. Unlike so many people putting out albums today (PARIS HILTON, LINDSAY LOHAN, GWEN STEFANI ( before you say "she's good", listen to that stupid yodelling song!), ASHLEY SIMPSON, FERGIE and, worst of all, KEVIN FEDERLINE these two sisters can really rock! Amazingly enough, they can sing, play instruments and just happen to look great too!
I got familiar with them through THE DISNEY CHANNEL, which shows their videos. One of the earliest vidoes I remember DISNEY playing was Do you Believe In Magic. Nowadays (2006) they show videos for other meatier songs like Rush and Chemicals React.
My eight year old daughter loves ALY & AJ and after watching COW BELLES with her a few nights ago something dawned on me: I do too!
Oh sure, Im familiar with the songs of other RADIO DISNEY stars like CHEETAH GIRLS, MILEY CYRUS, etc. But the ALY & AJ album (INTO THE RUSH ) is the first DISNEY star album that I actually want to run out and buy for myself!
I think for Christmas I will be buying two copies of it: One for me and one for my daughter!

I keep seeing all over the reviews that this is intended for kids. I am 40 and the owner of a studio. I have been involved in music production since 1985 and I have got to say that the music this duo is putting out is phenomenal. Not only is the music fantastic, but the production is flawless. My daughter watches Disney channel which is where I was first exposed to Aly and AJ's music. I was blown away when I first heard "Rush" and when "Chemicals React" came out, I was convinced that "Rush" wasn't a fluke and decided to buy the CD/DVD. With the exception of the two cover tunes at the end of the CD, this disk is awesome. Don't get me wrong, they have done a great job on the cover tunes, I just don't know why they put the covers on it; their stuff blows the covers away. This CD is definitely not one with just a couple of good songs; they are all good. I'd recommend this CD for anyone who likes modern rock.

With their debut album 'Into the Rush' certified GOLD (500,000 albums sold), their Disney television movie 'Cow Belles' trailing closely behind the smash Disney hit 'High School Musical' in ratings, and an in-development Disney television series all accomplished, it seems that no matter what Aly & AJ do it is sure to be a success. This dynamic duo have been singing and acting since young ages but have only recently stepped out into the spotlight with the help of Disney. Although Disney is known for cranking out fluffy "tween" acts - including Hilary Duff and more recently The Cheetah Girls - Aly & AJ are truly in another league of talent, singing teen pop-rock tunes (penned by themselves) while playing their guitars. Their debut disc was a stellar effort that dared to go beyond bubble gum pop songs by tackling subjects of life, failed relationships, kidnapping, and bullying. Now comes this Deluxe Edition, one year after 'Into the Rush's' initial release with new songs, all new art, a fold out poster and bonus DVD.

The first track off the album, and current radio single, "Chemicals React", is an up-tempo and drum heavy song that is truly their finest song to date. 'Into the Rush' continues with another new song entitled "Shine", one whose lyrics are both inspiring and empowering. The last of the new songs is the mellow track "Never Far Behind", a slow song that was released on the Japan edition of 'Into the Rush' previously. The next two tracks are the old songs, "Something More & "Collapsed", reworked with more of an edge. The rest of Aly & AJ's 'Deluxe Edition' consists of their songs from the first release of 'Into the Rush'. "Rush" is an upbeat song that definitely gets you "into the rush" until the album's final track. The next track "No One" deals with peer pressure and teaching listeners to be themselves. "Out of the Blue" talks about a failed relationships. "Speak for Myself" and "Sticks and Stones" tackle standing your ground, while the latter of the two specifically deals with bullies. The most powerful and inspiring song on the CD is "I Am One of Them", a song that addresses the issue of kidnapping. All of these songs were penned by both Aly & AJ, a talent that seems to have disappeared in the music world in recent years. The last two songs on 'Into the Rush' are previously released remakes, "Walking on Sunshine" and "Do You Believe in Magic", that are fun and upbeat for those younger listeners to the disc. Also included with this 'Deluxe Edition' is a bonus DVD with music videos for "Chemicals React", "On the Ride", "Rush", and a Simlish version of "Chemicals React" (to be included on the next Sims 2 Computer Game)

'Into the Rush' is definitely an album that has surely surprised many first time listeners. Not only do the lyrics have meaning, but the distinct voices of both Aly & AJ are unique as well. The two sisters have truly broken the Disney mold with this album and have achieved a fanbase beyond the tweenage crowd (Thus the re-release of the now gold album). What's to come from Aly & AJ in the coming years is bound to be a success.

Not only are Aly & AJ great on CD but live too! Look for Aly & AJ on tour now or their live concert DVD, 'On the Ride', in stores now; and coming in September, a holiday album entitled 'Acoustics of Winter'.

I'm 51 years old & hate hip-hop,rap,most country & R & B too.The reason these girls are good is that they followed a tried & true way to write & make music & that being the Hook.A hook is something about a song after hearing it once You can't stop Your brain from playing it over & over again.One song I HATE is an example of this & that is "Girls Just Wana Have Fun".As much as I detest this song whenever I hear it my brain will not shut it off cause it has the Hook to it.The best song on the cd is "Chemicals React" which has a hook that I can't shut off & frankly don't want to.Besides the fact both girls are georgeous & their high pitched voices would (for the most part) turm me off I love them.The song "Chemicals React" has an eerie similarity to the Russian duo of "Tatu" who's also high pitched voices was a turn on rather than turn off for me.I believe these girls are well positioned to go with hit after hit because they can sing & write music & their looks don't hurt the eyes either.So I say Go Aly & AJ Love Your hooks keep em coming gals!

aly and aj are the best singers and actresses in America for those 2 people who said they were rubbish. they must have been wearing earplugs or something because to me and many others they are breath taking and aly is a great actress and singer so is aj. i listen to their album every single day and whenever i have spare time.they are not just star wannabees because starting a carrer at the ages of 5 is amazing and i definately think they deserve it.their songs are so catchy because i know their album off by heart.and one more thing aj does not have a clown nose because she is beautiful and aly.aly and aj keep rockin. xoxo
