Eve Selis has a remarkable gift both as a singer and lyric writer. These are songs that you will listen to again and again. They have the quality that only great songs possess of playing themselves in your imagination and memory days after you listen to them, even if you've only heard them once. Eve's expressive voice and the driving rock guitar of Marc Intravaia do a kind of flash dance together that has to be heard to be believed. I can't make up my mind which song I like best, because I love so many of them. It would probably be a tie between "Cry of Love," "Mary, Mary," and "I Still Believe In You." Eve's voice on "Mary, Mary" is still echoing in my mind. When they say hauntingly beautiful, this is what they mean. But the power rush of Marc's guitar in "Cry of Love" is like a ride on a rocket, and the lyric of "I Still Believe In You" may be the most perfect song lyric I've ever heard. Buy this CD -- you won't be sorry.
