5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Great, March 27, 2005

I picked up a copy of "No Angel" just because I liked the cover, and it looked interesting. I had no idea I was starting off on a journey that would encompass my reading time for so long. I didn't know I was starting on a trilogy. When I finished "No Angel" I knew I had to find out the rest of the story, so I read "Something Dangerous" and finally "Into Temptation." This is one of the most interesting stories a reader could ask for-- it moves quickly, very readable, never a dull moment. If you don't read the books in order, the story doesn't make as much sense--- you would have too many unanswered questions, although tantalizing hints are given. I would have been a bit confused and would not have enjoyed "Into Temptation" as much.
Since reading "Into Temptation" I have obtained all the rest of Penny Vincenzi's books, and am looking forward to lots of good reading time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant Surprise, March 4, 2005
I purchased No Angel on impulse, being unfamiliar with both Ms. Vincenzi or her work. I was very pleasantly surprised and entertained, and became quickly engrossed with the saga of the Lytton family. Upon completion of No Angel, I was thrilled when I discovered No Angel was part one of a triology. Something Dangerous was a continuation of reading pleasure. I am awaitng the shipment of Into Temptation and feel that the experience has been somewhat addictive. Being an avid reader, I am also surprised that Ms. Vincenzi's triology has not achieved a higher sales rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Trilogy, January 25, 2005
I took a chance and read the first book in the trilogy, No Angel, and fell in love with the story line and with Ms. Vincenzi's writing and characters. I have now finished the trilogy with this book and feel privileged to have read the three books and for getting to know the characters. Enriching, rewarding, and hard to put down; Penny Vincenzi is a charming, witty, fabulous author!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars PATS35, July 9, 2005
THIS IS THE LAST BOOK OF THE TRILOGY AND IT TIES EVERYTHING TOGETHER BUT EVEN AS A STAND ALONE BOOK IT HAS IT ALL. WONDERFUL STORY LINE, JUST SUCH A PLEASURE TO READ ANYTHING THE AUTHOR WRITES. IT IS SO HARD TO PUT HER BOOKS DOWN, THEY ARE SO INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Into Temptation, February 18, 2006
This review is from: Into Temptation (Hardcover)
This is the third of the series by Penny Vincenxi. This book is defintely a "must read" for people who like sagas and modern history. Miss Vincenzi manages to bring life to the characters in the book, and while telling the story of the life of Celia, she very successfully brings in happenings in the world, especially England and United States by using real characters, politicians etc., that lived during those year- thereby making recent history become alive on the pages of the book.

Unfortunately, this book ends the saga of the Lyttons, hopefully she will write a continuation. Galsworthy did it with the Forsytes, hopefully Miss Vincenzi will do the same.

A very enjoyable read.

I have read all three of these pretty much back to back and enjoyed them all. I love the honesty of the writing, the sense of the times and places, the way the characters are created and the style of plot suspense build-up unusual in this genre of literature.

This was the book I enjoyed most in the trilogy. It is interesting from the beginning to the end and I was very sorry when I came to the last page. It is one book that I will read again maybe next year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, August 16, 2007
This is the 3rd book in the trilogy! I love it just as much as the other 2 books. I am going to be sad when I am finished with it. I have never enjoyed a trilogy as much as this one!

This was the best trilogy's I have ever read. I am sorry it's over now. I agree with all the other readers on how great these books were. I am also suprised most people have never heard of these books. I love the old English family saga's. I also loved Barbara Taylor Bradford's Woman of Substance.
