The inspiring score of the made for TV movie "Into Thin Air",was superb. It takes you to the cold, unmerciful peaks of the top of the world and man's quest to stand on the highest point on the planet.The majestey of the Himalayans is drawn in your mind as you listen to the masterful and very powerful music on this recording. Very well done!

The sound on this disc is amazing. The use of the room performance over a stereo mix is a relief to these ears. The music itself is very rugged, with a great wind-band ensemble sound. Some points off for repetition, especially in orchestration, but how great to use the low brass in preference over the french horns, refreshingly non-Hollywood. Overall a great score that somehow projects something noble in it's sound.

This soundtrack captures all the magic of climbing, their dangers, the team and the summit. Lee, you did a summit job. I greatly enjoy this CD.
