5.0 out of 5 stars A Doorway to Well Being,
This review is from: Fit Into Your Genes (Paperback)"Fit Into Your Genes," offers valuable medical information and unique insights into weight management, better health and true beauty. With so many people suffering from obesity, weight management failure, frustrations, stress, depression, thyroid conditions, fatigue, insomnia, this book is a timely entry into the health education field. Readers are nudged to take personal inventory of their habits and their life-style patterns which contribute to poor health, --- and then shown how to do something about it. Being pro-active about our health and understanding our own genetic "make-up" can help us choose what we need, nutritionally -- and not just what we desire to eat. The book is not about crash diets, nor stringent fads. It emphasizes achieving lasting health through gaining better information, and working with your doctor toward optimum solutions.
I especially liked Chapter 3 and this insight; " remember to listen closely to your body, and resist the urge to judge yourself." Highly recommended. Contains revealing and practical information.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful,
This review is from: Fit into Your Genes (Kindle Edition)A very helpful book if you are struggling with weight gain, sugar cravings and low energy. The author details, down to the cellular level, and explains that our cravings are often not a lack of willpower, but a result of modern food and environmental stresses.
The only negative comment I have on the Kindle version of this book is that the formatting was not good. I founds pages would often only be half-filled and that headings were not clear.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have Weight Management Book,
This review is from: Fit into Your Genes (Kindle Edition)"Fit into Your Genes is a must have weight management book. Be one of the first to understand your weight issues by applying the easy to follow concepts that Dr. Jason Schwartz shares in this one of a kind book. It explodes with truth.
Get ready to read "Fit into Your Genes", and be prepared to be surprised. The well-researched myriads of interrelated components of the essential pillars of lasting healthy weight were worth my anticipation. The result was I immediately applied the insights from Dr. Schwartz's book to my practice as a leading eating disorder specialist. How great is that?
When I read Fit into Your Genes, I felt an instant connection and recognized my own journey in the stories and the actions that certainly have helped me maintain a healthy weight and a balanced mood. I've had to make many of the same choices that Dr. Schwartz recommends and the ones you'll read about.
As a final plus, Fit into Your Genes is filled with helpful resources, where to go, and what to ask. I won't reveal anymore here. That would spoil the fun of discovery. Enjoy."
- Kathleen Fuller, Ph.D. Leading Eating Disorder Expert 1# Amazon Bestselling Book- Not Your Mother's Diet The CURE for Your Eating Issues
FROM THE AUTHOR:
Why I wrote Fit Into Your Genes
I wrote this book to help our modern society better understand the basis of the overweight and obesity epidemic. You may better understand my motives once I explain how I happened to write this book.
I had retired from my clinical practice as well as my career as a college professor. Within weeks of this, a colleague, Dr. Kathleen Fuller, a psychologist, contacted me. She informed me that a new book she wrote, about unhealthy eating and weight problems and the emotional, mental and social issues involved, was being published in a few months. Then she asked me to write the Forward for it.
I was honored. After reading the publisher's proof of "Not Your Mother's Diet, The CURE for Your Eating Issues," I sent her what I wrote. She loved it. Then she asked if I would write some articles for her website to share my insights on the challenges we face with unhealthy, excessive weight.
While focusing my ideas for these articles I realized that most of us, including doctors, do not know our body's fundamental imbalances that sabotage our efforts to achieve a healthy weight. Also, the researchers do understand their piece of the puzzle but rarely step back to see the whole picture.
I wrote this book to empower people with knowledge they probably would not hear elsewhere for years; years of needless suffering with compromised health.
When I hosted a talk radio show, the station owners were bewildered how I would discuss a health topic and within a year or two, that same topic was on the major news sources as the latest health breakthrough. I joked that if I could pick stocks the way I can sense important, new--cutting edge, health issues, I'd be a billionaire.
So I invite you to empower yourselves with the knowledge I share in my book and then share it with those you love.
As I have said before, "He who can does. And he who can and cares, shares".
