It really works,

I am a Nikon SLR guy, but I wanted something cheap for snorkling. This camera actually works. You are limited sometimes since the flash is not on a cord. But for $20, it does what it claims: underwater 35mm with a dinky flash.

This is a great starter camera for underwater photographers. The buttons are big, and easy to find. It has a flash and takes pretty good images, so I would recommend this over a disposable underwater camera. I must say, whenever I bring this along with me to a pool or the ocean, it ends up being lots of fun.

Great underwater camera value. Skip the "brand names". Easy to use and RE-USE since you can replace the film and batteries.

1. First of all, everything about the camera is manual. Loading the film, remembering to rewind before opening the rear of the camera etc. It took me a while to figure it out. And by the way, I did expose one roll that had my diving pictures. Since it happened in dimly lit room, I still got some pictures.
2. Having a flash was a plus but isnt a huge improvement. The pictures come good only in very short range. It defeats the whole purpose of wanting to take pictures when you go diving or snorkelling. It didnt capture the colors or the detail. Overall it wasnt much of an improvement over a disposable camera.

worst sea camera I have had,

I bought a SS1100 underwater camera because I thought it was a good camera for a fair price. But on my first dive with the camera it flooded and I couldn't take any picture, it was a pity because I saw a huge turttle and it would be a great picture. It is a pity but I recomend not to buy any camera of this type. I was used to a Sea&Sea underwater camera (not digital) much bigger and I was hoping to have a smaller one but I was deceived.

Camera is perfect for a utility wet sports camera (point and shoot). Use 800 speed film and this camera will surprise you for a unit with a cost under 15 dollars. Since it is completely reusable I have over 3 years of service from the first one that I bought. If I or my 6 year old lose it we wont be stressing like it was a Nykonos or expense camera.

I dive to an average of 50 ft. I usually just buy a disposable waterproff made for 30 and they last my 50ft dives. I bought this camera thinking it would save me money but out of my 27 pictures I was able to save 2, both of which were out of water pictures. Trashing this thing instantly.

only good if you're in crystal clear water,

We used this camera to swim with the manatees and we ended up trashing most of the pictures. Because we weren't in super super clear water like in Hawaii, the pictures didn't turn out that great even though there's a flash. The water was clear enough where I thought the pictures would turn out better since we used a disposable camera without flash the last time we were in Crystal Rive, FL. We were very disappointed since all the reviews were really good for this camera.
