Abel does a great job simplifying the complexities of the Paleo lifestyle, one that has without a doubt, saved my life. Paleo has allowed me to lose over 60lbs, ridded me of blood sugar issues, blood pressure issues, joint pain, digestive issues, allergies, and many other problems plaguing modern western society... Give it a try for 30 days and you'll never look back.

I thought this type of "diet" was just a fad like all the others. Boy was I wrong. This will change your life. Hence, it's not a "diet" but a lifestyle change. I've only been following this "Common Sense, Keep It Symple" lifestyle for a few months but I'm seeing great results. At 45, I'm looking better than I ever have my whole life. I feel great, and you owe it to yourself to check it out and make the change. Give it a try. Surprisingly, it only takes a few simple tweaks if your eating halfway decent to start with. There are other longer more detailed books out there that will tell you the same thing, so spend a fraction of your time and check this out to see if the Paleo lifestyle is right for you.

I highly support Abel Jame's viewpoint that a paleo lifestyle will indeed lead to fat loss, muscle strength and much more. Inflammation via carbohydrate intake and more is the core cause of weight gain, ill health and faster aging - and this is exactly what Abel James is addressing for you. I first came across Abel James' work when I stumbled across his excellent 'Fat Burning Man' podcast back in March. At that time I was a hefty 96kg at 5'8" - a knee surgery, job promotion, new baby and a lack of self discipline had stamped its mark on my waistline and I was scrambling about for a way out of middle aged mediocrity! Abel's on point message, jazz fluid style and approachable take on the paleo diet was the lifeline I was looking for and I grabbed on with both hands.

Now, three months on I have dropped down to 86kg and the weight is still falling away and yet I've never eaten so well! The exercise protocols Abel outlines have allowed me to rehabilitate my knee and build enough lean mass that I can now jig my healthy 5 month old (who is already stretching the toes of 6-9 month sleep suits!) for hours on end without needing medical relief and, perhaps most important of all, I feel like I am back in control of my journey.

Abel's primer on the paleo approach is detailed enough to offer an insight into the robust science and common sense that underpins the lifestyle approach, while remaining this side of the nerdian line which is only crossed by nutritionists or those of us who have since been bitten by the bug and want to take a deeper look at the lost art of staying healthy. There is a reason that Abel has enjoyed a meteoric rise and is now being recognised as a significant voice in the international health and fitness movement - the man walks his talk, talks sense and has a sense of humor to boot! What's not to like?

I thought this was a good overview of the Paleo diet. It was a quick and easy read and hit all of the highlights one would expect. Certainly there are books that go into a lot more depth and detail, but considering the intent was to be an introduction to Paleo, this hit the nail on the head.

the cadence of this book is a nice easy flow.The info is to the point and on the money.Abel has a positivity that shines through and you can feel his enthusiasm for this life style.If you are just curious about paleo ,want more info,or are even a bit skeptical this is a great place to start .It will make you question conventional wisdom and challenge you to jump in and just see for your self what all the talk is realy about!you wont be dissapointed.

This intro covers all of the basic tenets of the Paleo diet (lifestyle, really): the over-arching concepts, the food and the activity. But it's such a super-quick read that you don't get blinded by info. You really do just get the right amount of information to grasp the concepts and get started! My favorite part is the Paleo in a Page. I can stick that on the fridge and always have a quick reference.
