Teaches, first, the most important concept in any kind of translation--the segmenting of language into *unidades* in order to preserve the meaning of the source language, offering guidelines of how/when to amplify, omit and rearrange elements. This book is written for English to Spanish translators; however, Spanish to English translators will find it of no less value. What makes Traductología one of a kind is its stress on a sound, scientific methodology--not blind rules--which, when followed, will greatly increase one's accuracy.

The best book in Translation! It's very helpful when studying a degree related to Spanish language. As a translator I consult this book often in order to make up a translation and convert a meaning from the departure language to your goal-translating language. In few words, it's very useful!
