I'm not certain that Brilliant Colors even know of bands like the Modettes or Dolly Mixture but if you were/are a fan of either of those groups, I think you should check this out. Living in the UK from 77-80, and being a fan of the John Peel radio show I was fortunate to hear much of the UK indie music of the time. Yeah, I've got a kick ass 45 collection from that period as well as great memories of the shows in Cambridge and London. Curious folks who don't know what I'm on about I'd suggest you buy the Brilliant Colors CD and check out Modettes, Dolly Mixture, Dangerous Girls, Delta 5, and Slits. It's just a starter kit.

This album contains a few tracks that are pretty infectious. Even though I live in a large metropolitan area I was not able to find this CD. I love lo-fi, garage, girl group pop. This is exactly that. Listen to the track Absolutely Anything, simple weird lyrics, draws you in!
