Introducing The Internet Plus fills the need of people needing to learn something about the Internet and then teach it to others in the workplace. Introducing The Internet Plus is a transcription of Lee Jaffe's presentation (including slides and handouts) that answers the questions "What is the Internet?", "What Does it do?", and "Why should I be interested in learning it?. Trainers can use it to prepare their own presentations to pre-Internet users, or they can take parts of it to use as the introductory segment of a program that goes beyond Internet basics. The slides are on 8-1/2" x 11" pages for making transparencies, and the handouts can be photocopied as is. The accompanying disks (Macintosh and Windows) also contain the lecture, handouts, and slides, so editing any part of this presentation is easy. Introducing The Internet Plus also describes Internet tools and services including the World Wide Web, browsers, and search engines, as well as Telnet and FTP. Jaffe recommends good sites to use in demonstrations and provides advice to ensure a smooth-running program. -- Midwest Book Review
