This album is tight! Imagine Buena Vista Social Club mixed with funk. Plus a little electronic and DJ-ing sprinkled on top of a couple of the tunes. All the playing is first rate and the sound quality is really good. Just listen to the samples; if like them even in the slightest, buy now!

Having been privileged enough to catch the fabulously fun, funky and "rico" Spam Allstars live at Miami Beach's Jazzid nightclub while living there I gotta give it up to them for the fabulous transfer of their live sound to record. What a blast of pure funky fusion! This is a very generous recording, giving listeners a total of 11 tracks to get down to and believe me, you'll be getting down. With a plethora of flavors in the mix there's a little for everyone but don't expect some purified sound here, this is a true salsa! I love this band and am sooo pleased to be able to hear them in the cold and snowy north. It brings back the vibe of sunny, tropical Miami and all the fun times I had there...Viva la Spam!

This album is fantastic! Where has this band been all my life?? I love the African, Latin, Carribean fusion, its got me dancing in my living room.

I was already familiar with DJ Le Spam and the Spam All-stars, since I had seen them live in concert at the University of Miami, so when I purchased the CD, I knew what I was buying. I was not disappointed. The Spam All-stars mix of electronic elements and "descarga" with sax, trombone, flute, congas, guitar and so on, were all there, producing their unique sound. I rated the CD "Five stars," but a word of caution to the uninitiated: Those not familiar with the group's sound, will still like the CD, but may find that with the electronic elements and turntables base throughout the album, the sound could be monotonous and repetitive. Obviously I am NOT one of those. I am a "Le Spam" fan and not a novice.

Spam Allstars are a band you really MUST see live - when you can't, this album is the next best thing.

The Spam Allstars have been a pleasant surprise. This album shows off there wide musical range, tying each song into the one thing they all have in common: smooth.
