I have had the honor of witnessing Spencer Day forge an impressive career as an independent artist in every sense of the word. In his recent live shows he's been playing tracks from his up-coming third release, "Vagabond." His gift for songwriting shines more than ever in the new songs... and as stated by an earlier reviewer, his voice is "smooth like butter."

For a self funded album, the recording is amazingly good. Somebody knew what they were doing in the recording studio. I downloaded the FLAC for I think $11. Awesome!!

I have only listened to this cd once,and it takes me a couple of tries to know which are my favorite songs. After listening to his Vagabond cd you can tell this is his first. I like it and know it will grow on my as Vagabond did. Am glad I purchased it. Would love to see Spencer in concert.

This is a wonderful, soothing, soulful CD. Spencer Day has a beautiful soulful voice and very pleasant music to complement it. His lyrics tell wonderful stories and his singing style makes it easy to hear the lyrics and adds to the emotion to the lyrics. I think his songs have a lot of meaning to him. I had the pleasure of seeing him live in San Francisco and his introduction of the songs like Arizona Blue showed the real emotion behind them. Spencer Day has a great career in front of him, buy the CD and start enjoying!

Saw him live in SF and listen to the CD weekly. Spencer Day is a new and rising talent. You will not regret this purchase.

A great album. Reminds me of another recently successful balladeer, Jamie Cullum. Spencer Day is easy to listen to, and this album is supported by super arrangements, perfect accompaniments and flawless mixing. The band and backgrounds are exactly right--never getting in the way of his magical voice and style, but inviting us to come in and listen, supporting the melody, but never interfering. Every track stands on its own. Spencer's treatment of Marty Robbins' Devil Woman took me a few listens to warm up to it (mainly because I was a big fan of Robbins), but all the other tracks hooked me at once.

In a nutshell, Spencer Day has got some serious SOUL. For a guy in his 20's he's definitely a reincarnation of some old blues/jazz man in another life. This is another one of those situations where the kid who didn't win "Star Search" goes on to be even more successful than the one who did! Talent is a solid force to be reckoned with. Kudos.

I managed to stumble into Melbourne's Federation Square in Australia when I first heard Mr. Spencer Day. What an incredible talent and what an even more incredible effort by a young artist to make his way all the way from America to support such a noble cause as HIV/AIDS awareness. My wife and I stayed the entire set and then made our way to the information booth so that we could donate to the campaign. What a delight that we were given a complimentary copy of Mr. Day's CD just for enquiring! We play it over and over at home and for our friends. We look forward to this coming event at the square where we are told Spencer Day will be returning to this side of the pond. We'll be there in force as well. Cheers.
