5.0 out of 5 stars I use the book in my writing classes, October 2, 2008
This review is from: Introduction to Academic Writing, Third Edition (The Longman Academic Writing Series, Level 3) (Paperback)
This is an excellent book. I am a professor at a local community college and this book is a wonderful resource not only for teachers but also for students who are learning the English language and writing skills. I am using the entire series in my classes at the college level and the students are really coming together and excelling in their writing due to the exercises in the book. I approve and am happy that the authors came up with such a concept.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have book for teachers and tutors, October 8, 2011

This review is from: Introduction to Academic Writing, Third Edition (The Longman Academic Writing Series, Level 3) (Paperback)
This book is extremely well organised and focussed. In a systematic and careful way you learn how to write paragraphs in several different ways. Punctuation and grammar is gradually unveiled when appropriate. Writing an essay is introduced at the end. I am using this book with my students with great success.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good book but could be better, March 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Introduction to Academic Writing, Third Edition (The Longman Academic Writing Series, Level 3) (Paperback)
I like the book. Althought it has some errors.
Organizing of this book is not as well as it should.
The practical elements should a little be changed.
But over all it is a very good book for some one like me to start with. I go to a class every week, where they teach this book. Everyday, my teacher comes to class with photocopies of some exercise, which were printed from other books, I mean this book should have more exercises.
