Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Having sung her way to the top of the Fame Academy pile, it's now time for winner Alex Parks to unleash her debut set. Aptly entitled 'Introduction', the set communicates perfectly Alex's phenomenal vocal abilities. Alex describes the album as a diary of her time in the Fame Academy house - featuring all the best songs performed on the show such as 'Beautiful' & 'Imagine'. Furthermore, 'Introduction' also includes original material that Alex worked on in the house - such as 'Maybe That's What It Takes' the first single to be taken off the album. Made up of six cover versions & seven original tracks in all, 'Introduction' also comes with a beautifully-designed booklet with hand-written notes by Alex herself. Includes 2 bonus tracks 'Everybody Hurts' & 'Beautiful'. Polydor. 2003.

2.0 out of 5 stars Introduction-Import~Alex Parks, May 24, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Introduction (Audio CD)
I am very disappointed to have paid such an excessive amount of money for an import CD to find it is missing two songs listed in the Product Information track listings. I am also disappointed with Amazon and their return policy regarding opened CDs. This was a gross misrepresentation of which I am responsible for financially. Do not purchase this CD if you want to hear "Everybody Hurts" or "Beautiful".

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, January 10, 2004

Watch this girl - at 19 she is superb! "Imagine" is breathtaking; never thought I would like someone else singing this other than John Lennon. Looking forward to hearing more from Alex

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this music, December 17, 2003
By A Customer
This is a really amazing CD. Music like this does not come along every day. There's no one else out there like Alex Parks. She puts everything into her music and the honesty and passion can be heard in every note her voice sounds. I cannot praise her dedication highly enough. She's an artist with real integrity and believes in producing quality music, and this is reflected throughout "Introduction," which I hope is only the first of many beautiful recordings.
