About the Author

Paul Richard has worked in the CAD field for over 19 years. He started his career as a CAD drafter in 1985 and has since worked his way up through the ranks of the industry holding positions as CAD designer, CAD manager, and CAD software developer. He is currently a certified Autodesk instructor and the author of VBA for AutoCAD.

 

Jim Fitzgerald has worked with AutoCAD for over 16 years in a variety of CAD-related fields. He has experience in mechanical design, PCB layout, architectural drafting, CAD management, and 3D modeling and rendering. He has taught AutoCAD in both community college and corporate settings.

This book provides step by step process of what each command button/action does. Help's provide practical use of the skills learned using this book. Pretty much it can replace a teacher, if you are trying to learn AutoCAD on your own.

For learning how to use Auto Cad 2008 beyond the novice level, this texted is great. It is well layed out and easy to follow w/ intermitent learning examples that help reinforce what was just covered. This text is perfect for the beginner to intermediate, but will not help much if you are above these levels, the text even states such
