I read the manual, but I guess I must have missed a few things, cause this video showed me stuff I didn't even know the camera had. It shows you how to use the most basic features and how they differ from others. I wouldn't say this is for the professional photographer, but for the average user, I'm pretty sure that this video is going to show you things about your camera that you didn't know before.
It's extremely easy to follow. You'll want to watch it with your camera in hand and the remote to the DVD player in hand to stop the video OFTEN and try what you've just seem.
It's a really nice addition to the camera and I'm glad I got it. After watching it twice, I'm starting to use the camera in ways I never really thought I would; making more manual choices, cause I now understand why you might want to.
I highly recommend it to the newer users of DSLRs and think that most people with any DSLR will find it useful.

This DVD does not replace the owners manual for this amazing camera, what it does is quickly teaches you how to drive it. I starts at basics but even experienced photographers will apreciate the insight that you get from using this DVD. The more advanced / New features of this camera are well covered to the extent that a point and shoot camera owner can proceed to fully use this versatile tool.

Just what I needed because I am new to the world of DSLR photography. This should have come with the camera itself! Step by step instructions on how to use your camera.

Buy this DVD, you will not regret it!

I am new to SLR photography and was looking for something to help familiarize me with the camera and it's many features, this DVD didn't do it for me. The descriptions of the buttons and menus were brief and presented quickly with few visual aids. I made the mistake of ordering the advance DVD (Vol 2) at the same time I ordered this DVD. I will be returning that one for a refund. I would return this one if I could.
