10 of 11 people found the following review helpful By Paige L. Chargois on December 5, 2009
Format: Paperback
Gonzalez & Perez accomplish great clarity of the Christian faith without sacrificing protestant and/or Catholic beliefs or traditions! Their writing is rich with both biblical and church history without being laborious. They are succinct while yet presenting a depth of thought particularly as it comes to the explanatory chapter about sacraments in general, Communion and Baptism specifically. With 2 degrees in theology and having taught Christian theology for a couple of semesters now, I have not found a better written text that sets forth such diversity of thought along with the core beliefs of the Christian church. For one's personal, spiritual journey or for a class on the subject, I highly recommend this book!

The book seems to be well written and full of information that is thought provoking and accurate in relation to the Bible. There is however, some areas that are hard to comprehend. A much simpler "words" approach would have made the book easier to read and understand.

A brief, but very concise, introduction to Christian Theology. Very useful for someone interested in learning more but not acquainted with the field. A good place to begin. I could see it being used with study groups of adults in the church.

This book is an excellent source for Christian schools. Students were able to comprehend and obtain a good foundation of what Theology is all about. I strongly recommend it!
