It is a satisfactory book for a practical introduction to commodity trading owing to its association with the relevant Reuters screens which make the text less abstract as compared with the typical theoretical texts on the subject.
Its two main drawbacks though are: 1) the inadequacy of the material pertinent to trading strategies which make use of the instruments and 2) the fact that the Wiley internet links seem to be currently unavailable! Studying this book along with the other Reuters "Introduction to Derivatives" may help close many gaps which the novice reader is likely to find in the text. |
