This review is from: Introduction to Computational Optimization Models for Production Planning in a Supply Chain (Hardcover)
1st of all, I am a computer science guy trying to self-acquire knowledge on Operation Research, primarily in the Linear Programming field.
This book provides a good introduction to Mathematical Notation used for modeling, basic models for mrp, MRPII and gradually improve the models to capture more complex business requirements. I have read a couple of Optimization book, but none has such great clarity in the explanation of 'why' in the part-art, part-science of modeling. I will give 6 stars if Amazon allows it. |
