This book is a wonderful resource for anyone who is interested in an introductory level description to the field of counseling. I would recommend this book to psychology majors and counseling majors alike. The author writes in a down to earth style, making it easy to understand for those new to the field of counseling. My instructor in particular requested that the students also purchase the centgage learning center activities that are meant to compliment this book, however, the book I purchased through Amazon.com did not include the cengage online code needed to access cengage learning center activities. I was able to purchase it directly from cengage for an additional $20.00

We were required to purchase two books for the class I am currently taking...this one and one other. I prefer the other over the Intro to Counseling book. I'm not saying this book isn't helpful or is poorly written. It's simply that the other book is written in an easier to read format. All in all, it is helpful to beginning counselors.

Hi,
This is the book you need when taking an intro class to Counseling. I use this for my Intro course at William Paterson University, class CS601-60. Taught by Dr. Danzinger. If you take this class, or have an interest in the counseling profession, you will need this book. I will likely get made fun of for writing this review. SMILE TIME!

Amazon is an excellent place to buy low priced textbooks. Tons of sellers to choose from makes the prices competitive. No complaints here.

this book is not worth the price the cover is in bad shape, the pages were
all bend inwards at the corners and it's been highlighted too much! I wanted a decent second hand book so that I could keep it for reference after the term had ended. I'll be nice if we could see how the book looks. thanks for the opportunity.

Awesome Seller,
This review is from: Introduction to Counseling: Voices from the Field (Paperback)
I ordered this book and it was on my doorsteps within just a few short days. I initially sent an email to see about shipping time and did not receive a response from the seller. Instead, I received my book via UPS. I gave the seller a less than favorable only because I thought they did not respond to my email. I received an email from seller explaining that they did send an immediate response but it must have been delivered to my junk mail. Of course they had the original email train with dates and time. I sent an apology and just want to clarify that this seller is prompt, detailed and the book arrived in the condition as promised! Thanks.
