St. Francis de Sales book is step by step. Very basic and very holy. I have found it very rewarding.

This book is very good for someone who is working on developing their spiritual life. There is so much wisdom in it and yet it is written in a straight forward manner and is easy to understand and apply to your life. Very good to use for a person who is beginning a habit of daily meditation.
