4.0 out of 5 stars good reading, awful referencing. May 14, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed reading the text, they wrote it well. However, the Index and Glossary weren't great, and lots of things I tried to find were not there, and had to be found by page-flipping (aghh!). Not usually the case, in my experience. Also, waaayyy too many chapter review questions. Yikes.
It was a decent overview of the fire service, though. I found it interesting.

Bought for a class, but unlike some required texts, it was worth buying. Good information in an interesting way. Would recommend to those interested in the field of firefighting.

1.0 out of 5 stars It never arrived!! September 6, 2012
By Lindsay
Format:Paperback
I had to cancel this item because Amazon kept pushing my date back for shipment!! The class has already started and I have no guarantee I'd ever receive the book. Do a search and get the book through the publisher. It's a few dollars more, but you get a free eBook for 7 days for this book. This is the most disappointed I've ever been with an Amazon purchase. I should have read the reviews FIRST.
