1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly Written
I took a course in forensic psychology and this book was used. There is good information in this book but it's poorly written. The editing is poor and the content is very confusing. Each chapter's content jumps around, making it difficult for the reader. Even the outlines that Sage provides do not agree with the material.

I am very disappointed in this book...

I am very disappointed in this book and have discussed the inconsistencies with my professor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating!, December 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Although I should say "fascinating, if you are interested in the basic theories and foundations of the subject of forensic psychology." I do understand that this is a textbook, and many people have a hard time reading texts; however, if you can get past that, this book is probably the best "intro to" book that I have ever read. I've used it in one class so far and will use it for at least three others.

Good book for those who wish for a good overview of the forensic psychology subfield. However, it can be dry at points especially toward those who are not interested in or familiar with psychology prior to reading.
