Learning and Behavior is very well written, clear, and effective text for Psychology students. 3.0 out of 5 stars Okay..
I love the book because it is compact, but the material was quite difficult to comprehend (my classmates can agree on this), and the words are small. Not much pictures, and there's a couple of figures in it.

Understandable, but might take some extra time re-reading some of the material.

Learning and Behavior is very well written, clear, and effective text for Psychology students. This book covers some history of psychological theory, the actual application of those theories, and conducting and understanding behavioral research and it's implications about the learning process of humans and animals. The mini-chapter reviews and end of chapter tests are excellent for solidifying information in one's memory and aiding in the application of such information. This book provides evidence that a smaller, condensed, and micro-focused text is far more effective for studying a subject, than a huge text book attempting to cover too many fields worth of information.

The book is pretty straightforward and helpful. The mini self-examinations at the end of each section either reviews highlights the major concepts concisely or indicates that you weren't paying enough attention. I am HAPPY with my purchase. Very clear little psychology book that can also be entertaining to read.

This book, "Introduction to Learning and Behavior" is an easy read. It provides quizzes for readers to complete in order to retain the reading material. It definitely helps if you are interested in the subject, so that is the "plus" that help me enjoy this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Required Text for University Student, December 15, 2011

This review is from: Introduction to Learning and Behavior (Paperback)
This text was a requirement for a learning and behavior course. The content itself was not very useful since most of the case studies pertained to salvating dogs, rats or pigeons. It would have been more helpful if they used more human case studies. As far as the physical condition of the book, it looked fine until I opened it for the first time and the binding seperated from the text. I was left with a pretty much useless text in two peices. I dont recommened the text in terms of content or physical condition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Learning, February 17, 2010
This review is from: Introduction to Learning and Behavior (Paperback)
I got this book in okay condition. It was used and almost all the pages were written on from the previous owner. Despite this, the book is easy to follow along with and at the end of each section there is a quiz to test the retention of information (granted someone has not already filled these in...with pen...). The words are small print which makes the book a bit cumbersome, but all in all, a good read if interested in psychology of learning and behavior.
