This is a required text for a college course, "Law in American Society" However, it is very well written, easy to follow, and interesting.

This book has some good basic material and several case studies. I found it to be a good introduction to the law.

This book is a great book to gauge how would you feel about going to law school.

I required this book for a class. I was thrilled that I found it used, at a great price, and Amazon shipped it so fast!. The book itself is in excellent condition. Just like new, but I don't have to break the binding-- so it "sits" nicely to read. It IS a textbook, but it reads simple enough and the information flows and is understandable. Pretty good considering I thought "Law" might be 'dry'. There is a newer version--but my instructor stuck with this prior version. There is also a study guide that I found through Amazon.com, but shipped from a different seller. You get more out of the text when referencing the SG, so if it's optional for you--my advice is to go ahead and get the guide. I'd personally like to see them "bundled" together.

I ordered expedited shipping and the book was delivered within two business days. I received it just in time to read 5 chapters before my next class. They said the book was like new, and I would have said it was new had I not paid a better price than the new book cost.

This was a total rip off. This person charged me $60.00 when it should have been only 20.00!! The book was torn in all four corners, it smelled like it had gotten wet. It was hightlited halfway through the book! This person totally ripped me off and I am not sure that I will be able to order through Amazon again, because you don't know who you can trust!!! The person's username that I bought it from was A2Z91 - I woudn't buy anything from them if I were you!!

I still HAVE not recieved this book and can not get a response from the company, I was told it was reshipped to me but don't have it yet........will never buy another book from them.
