MicroStation 95 is an update of MicroStation Version 5, a first-class CAD (computer-aided design) software package in world-wide use.
An Introduction to MicroStation 95 is an introductory text written primarily for engineering students and those beginning to use the software for the construction of technical drawings. Written in the author's well-known user-friendly and approachable style, the book covers all the basic features of the package. Assuming no previous knowledge, it familiarizes the reader with the software's abilities through a course of work in, primarily, two-dimensional drawing. The large number of exercises and questions then allow the reader to practise the techniques presented. The text is illustrated throughout with screen dumps and example drawings, together with a set of colour plates which demonstrate clearly the use and full capabilities of the package.
This essential book provides unrivalled coverage of MicroStation 95 suitable for students undertaking all engineering courses where the software is used. Those in industry who wish to learn how to produce drawings using MicroStation will welcome the friendly text and excellent use of diagrams.

OK for very basic intro,
By A Customer
This review is from: An Introduction to MicroStation 95 (Paperback)
I found the book to give a basic review of the features of microstation. It however did not cover some of the most important areas, plotting and printing for example. While most of us think printing is basic, in a cad program it is at time frustrating and this book devotes hardly any time to the subject. No clues as to how to set margins, no driver file info, not even mention of fences or views, I've found out a lot only by experimentation with no help from this book. I would like to see a book that also tells one how to set up for verious types of drawings from begining to end. Oh well, in search of the perfect book I remain.

This book helped me learn some good stuff, but at times it didn't give me enough help to get the concept.
