If you need to get up to speed quickly or just a quick reference for a new technology, this is a good solution; it is written by people, who know their field, in clear concise language (no upper level math degree's needed). Very High Level with no detail
If you are looking to learn what mobile video is about, then this book is not for you. If you know nothing about mobile video and want to learn some lingos, some very generic concepts, and very basic of what mobile video is, then this may fit the bill (even then, this may be a stretch). If you need to get up to speed quickly or just a quick reference for a new technology, this is a good solution; it is written by people, who know their field, in clear concise language (no upper level math degree's needed). Making good use if diagrams and well worded descriptions the book will fill in the mystery behind how video gets to your phone. This is not a replacement for a text book for system designers, but is an excellent resource for persons needing a quick but thorough understanding of cellular video.

If you know anything about mobile network, streaming video, and multimedia, then you already know more than what this book can offer. I wish I can get my money back.
