4.0 out of 5 stars Decent book, February 16, 2009
This review is from: Introduction to Simulink with Engineering Applications, Second Edition (Paperback)
This a good book that describes each simulink function and provides an example. There are very well documented simple engineering examples in the back of the book. The text came in handy for my research; mainly for when I need to know how to use the discontinuous library block. I would also remind the book to undergraduates as well as graduates.

An excellent reference book for those who need a basic introduction to Simulink. This title is well written and understood. I have gone through many pages and examples and have found no errors or examples that do not work. The price of this book at $80 is not waste of the reader's money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Engineer, August 11, 2009
This review is from: Introduction to Simulink with Engineering Applications, Second Edition (Paperback)
I'm new to Simulink, so I'm using many references to learn the tool. While this book has the outward appearance of completeness, except for the examples there is no additional information that you can't just get from the Simulink help files. The examples are quite basic, and many times fail to provide a clear picture of how the underlying functions really work. The book does nothing for trying to explain more complicated examples -- some don't even work! This book is a total waste of your $80.

I should also note that there appears to be significant overlap of info with the other Karris books. If you actually decide to buy one, you certainly don't need them all.
