First-rate introduction to Quran studies by eminent Muslim.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran (Paperback)
Contrary to the misinformed views of those who are duped by the politically-motivated and power-hungry self-apponted clergy of the Muslim world, the author was a true Muslim and a believer in the Finality of Prophethood (i.e., that the Holy Pophet Muhammad was the Last of the Prophets), exactly like his mentor, the Mujaddid Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. What has made such propaganda so insiduous and continuing is the fact that a major section of the original Ahmadiyya Movement chose to turn their backs on the true teachings of the Founder of the Movement and of the Holy Prophet and to declare the Founder, after his death, a Prophet (God Forbid). It is to the everlasting credit of this author, Maulana Muhammad Ali, that he gathered together those Ahmadis who were not prepared to tolerate this divisive and un-Islamic step, or the dictatorship of a so-called Khalifa, and formed the breakaway Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat Islam of Lahore in order to perpetuate the original Islamic teachings of the Founder. This book does not, therefore, represent the distorted views of the "Qadiani" organisation, but the views of an eminent and saintly scholar of Islam, well-known and respected in his time, who wanted nothing to do with the false doctrines of those who had hijacked the Ahmadiyya Movement and were now declaring other Muslims to be non-believers! It is sad that so many ignorant Muslims should fall prey to the propaganda that lumps the Muslims of the Lahore organisation together with the misguided Qadiani organisation, condemns them both in the same terms, and throws in the silly suggestion that the Founder was a colonial agent. The more sensible and less narrow-minded readers, Muslim or non-Muslim, should have no difficulty in seeing where the real truth lies, and stand to benefit greatly in understanding from reading this book.

Translator's Credentials For Translating The Holy Quran,
By A Customer
This review is from: Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran (Paperback)
The translator Maulana Muhammad Ali was a highly educated person of his time. Although he belonged to a religious organization which has been highly reviled in the country where that organization is based and has been declared un-Islamic, because of ignorance and intolerance amongst Muslims towards each other, yet eminent scholars and religious personalities of the era in which he lived had a very high regard for his efforts for the propagation of Islam. The well known english translator of the Holy Quran, Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall had a lot of respect for Maulana Muhammad Ali's missionary activities. A prominent political activist of the Indian subcontinent,Muhammad Ali Jouhar was full of praise about this translation of the Holy Quran. The author has written numerous other books on Islam and is well qualified. His book "The Religion of Islam", has been well received even in some Muslim countries,e.g.,Egypt, where otherwise his oraganization is considered non-Muslim. This translation, presents Islam as a religion of tolerance and a very practical religion keeping in view the religious needs of modern times.

Read the quran and ignore intolerant christians like Mustafa,

This review is from: Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran (Paperback)
Mustafa, the intolerant christian you are. Nice try but no one is fooled. Your anti Islamic stance is craftily hidden in your intolerance to anything that doesn't conform to your missionary world view. If you are Muslims you would know that Islam doesn't tolerate your attitude.Notice how this mustafa located himself in Pakistan and said come to my country and then he said, better yet, do it here in a local mosque..where is here for you Mustafa? usa, canada..you got caught in a lie. You good christian you. The Quran is a light to guide this world from the intolerance that was prosecuted on it by pseudo religion like Christianity and Judaism. Your intolerance harkens to the middle ages when the church forbade every lay person from reading the bible or anything religious. It reminds the world if an era when the church was a torture den for heretics. Anyway, read the Quran and see.

Response to Comments on Islam,

This review is from: Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran (Paperback)
To the persons who mocked Islam below in thier reviews - I have something to say to you. You do not know what you are saying and your slurs against our Faith is disturbing. Why don't you people come to my country and say those things in public? Better still, why not stand in front of a local mosque here and say those things? I promise you..you will get a very freindly welcome I assure you. You are cowards and swine. You mock what you do not know. Why not put your real names on your reviews? Maybe you will get a visitor one day to stop by and chat about what you said?

A Brave Man's Book,
By Jan Skeetch (Gary, IN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran (Paperback)
I see mohammed ali wrote this book. I guess after his boxing career went bad due to ill health he had to do something to keep busy. I know he converted to islam back in the 60's when he heard Malcom X speak at a rally. He then did not join the U.S. Army for muslim religious reasons. He was a brave man to reject popular culture and embrace a then unknown and feared religious sect. He was brave and daring in the boxing ring and out. I am looking forward to read his book.

A classical sample of deceptive writing...once more,
By A Customer
This review is from: Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran (Paperback)
This is a classical sample of deceptive literature common in the last 50 years. In between the line, the author is introducing his non-muslim movement Qadiani instead of introducing a study of the Quran. This is because the author himself strictly speaking is not a muslim and belonged to a neo-colonial religious movement known as Qadiani which has since the gaining of independence by the Indian sub-continent has been exposed as a non-muslim movement. And check out the price instead of the intial 6 $, the book has been doscounted to 1 $...it seems that there are not so much buyer.
