5.0 out of 5 stars A clear and well thought out treatment, September 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: An Introduction to Gauge Theories and Modern Particle Physics (Cambridge Monographs on Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics and Cosmology) (Volume 1) (Hardcover)
Leader and Predazzi have written an exsellent text for graduate students. They cover the wide range of topics in great clarity. Especially in the chapter about renormalization they succeed in presenting the core in detail without technical obfuscation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent text, August 11, 2011
this is the text that every graduate student who wants to understand the current status of particle physics should read. Personally I had some difficulties going from some elementary texts to upper level texts until I have found this at our library. The appendixes at the end of this two volume text is also comprehensive and so useful. I totally suggest this book for those who want to build up a strong phenomenological background and get some taste from experimental success of the standard model.
