This revised 3rd edition includes information on vascular anatomy, the rationale for vascular ultrasound studies, duplex ultrasound techniques, normal duplex findings and duplex manifestations of vascular sonography. Contributors first cover the basics and then move on to discuss cerebrovascular diagnosis, extremity arterial and venous studies and abdominal diagnoses. 95% of this edition has been revised to show the dramatic advances in vascular diagnostic techniques and it includes all aspects of duplex sonography, which has replaced many of the traditional non-invasive vascular diagnosis techniques. Each section of the volume provides detailed anatomical, technological and diagnostic information, as well as clinical background for the studies in question. This volume also includes a chapter on non-imaging arterial diagnostic approaches.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best textbook for the vascular tech, September 10, 2008
I have taught vascular diagnostic sonography since 1985, and for most of those years the Zwiebel text has been my main textbook. It is written specifically for the practicing vascular tech, and covers all aspects of the field thoroughly. If you're in the biz, or if you're learning to be in the biz, you must have this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great Resource for the Vascular Medicine Physician, January 26, 2009
I have purchased this book and read it few times over the last 5 years. I use it primarily as a text book to refer to for the RVS, RVT, RPVI exam. there has allot of books about vascular US since this book was written but none as authoritative or complete.

If you are a practicing physician involved in the field of vascular US this book is a must. some of the vascular technicians I worked with found it a great aid.

If you are studying for a vascular US exam this book is great but it is ot the only book you need as it doesn't cover vascular US physics in depth.
