Riddled with misprints, October 10, 2011
This review is from: Introduction to Vectors and Tensors: Second Edition--Two Volumes Bound as One (Dover Books on Mathematics) (Paperback)
I have not gone through the full book, only through a few chapters. The explanations are not terrible, neither are the exercises, but I have seen numerous misprints thus far. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that can afford something better. In any case, here is the table of contents in this two volume book:
Vol 1
Ch 0: Elementary Matrix Theory
1: Sets, Relations, and Functions
2: Groups, Rings, and Fields
3: Vector Spaces
4: Linear Transformations
5: Determinants and Matrices
6: Spectral Decomposition
7: Tensor Algebra
8: Exterior Algebra
Vol 2
9: Euclidean Manifolds
10: Vector Fields and Differential Forms
11: Hypersurfaces in a Euclidean Manifold
12: Elements of Classical Continuous Groups
13: Integration of Fields on Euclidean Manifolds, Hypersurfaces, and continuous Groups
