5.0 out of 5 stars Introduction to Linear Programming, November 21, 2006
This review is from: Introduction to linear programming (Paperback)
"... Every effort has been made to explain programming methods in terms and contexts which should be familiar to the typical student of business administration. This approach assumes that a basic understanding of the computational routines is necessary to utilize linear programming as either an analyst or as a decision maker...

"Three features have been incorporated in the preparation of this text. First, the chapters on the graphical and simplex methods have been written so that the various steps in the routines are clearly identified and related to one another. Second, a portion of each chapter is devoted to interpretation and implementation of optimal solutions. Experience has shown that this is one point in the decision process where communication between analyst and decision maker can break down.

"The third and major new feature of this book is the incorporation of self-checking questions and problems at the end of every key section... (giving) the reader an opportunity to test his comprehension of each step in the computational routines before proceding to more advanced sections."
