I purchased Introduction to the Nikon D40/D40X DVD to help a young lady get started with her camera. Several hundred photos later, interest is only growing, thanks to information learned with the DVD. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who wants to learn about the capabilities of the Nikon D40/D40X.

...but was hoping for more practical tips and advice for for custom settings. Also a bit annoyed when a Canon DSLR was used as in a practice clip (check time 31:26). Still, the DVD had a good mix of D40 hands-on and picture taking practice...

This tutorial video for the Nikon D40/D40X is an excellent companion to the camera's manual and the Field Guide book. Seeing the words of the manuals put into action is extremely helpful if you are a visual learner!
