5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent textbook
I had last used algebra in middle school and high school about 15 years ago. Needless to say, my skills were a little rusty. This book did an *amazing* job at explaining the material in such an intuitive way that it now seems obvious. The book covers about 2 years of high school material, and I was able to (re)learn it all in a matter of weeks. However, it's still...

3.0 out of 5 stars Text is great - MML code not valid from Amazon
This text is very good - easy to use and provides lots of good examples.
However, I had a lot of trouble with the MML code. I contacted Pearson and was told that Amazon or any other reseller other than a college bookstore is not permitted to sell the codes. The code I purchased from Amazon (new, in shrinkwrap) was not valid. Luckily, my school worked with me and...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, December 22, 2010
I had not had Alegbra sinec the 80's. My Professors used this book for two courses so it saved me a lot of money. The book is great, has lots of wonderful examples and the answers in the back!

Use caution!

1.0 out of 5 stars Book was good, Seller not so good., October 28, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Introductory and Intermediate Algebra (2nd Edition) (Hardcover)
I purchased this book so I could use it as a supplement to a class I am taking. Well I ordered it with expedited shipping (paid extra). I received a delivery confirmation number immediately, four days later it still had not been shipped. When I finally emailed the shipper they decided to send it out. I may as well have paid for normal shipping charges.
