4.0 out of 5 stars mining engineering, November 4, 2006
I purchased this book for a class. It is very informative. The way they explain things can be annoying at times. There are lots of references in the middle of paragraphs that are unecessary. There are also many times where they say "go to this book to find out about this subject". It's good if you actually want to go look for other books, but annoying if you are just reading this one. The graphs and pictures are very helpful. Overall this book explains the concepts well.

This was required for a school class, but it actually has a lot of good information in it. I actually read some of it, and not for class. Would recommended to anyone interested in learning a lot about the mining industry.
