This review is from: Introductory Physics : A Problem-Solving Approach, 2nd Edition (Hardcover)
Physics is the one science that everyone should know. It is everywhere: our bodies, our homes, our toys and games, our cars, our tools, our earth, and our sky. So why does it seem so "hard?" Indeed, the world we live in is intricate and complicated. But as Einstein once said, "classical physics is mostly what you learned by the age of four." We all know a lot of physics. However, we need to learn the language and the tools to make our knowledge powerful. This book can get you started in a very enjoyable way. It will help you to understand some of the beauty and the technology that surrounds you. Introductory Physics is written in a direct, conversational style with a light touch; it is loaded with carefully-worked examples and insight. You can actually learn to solve problems and DO physics. The book can help open the door to a career in science, or just provide an enjoyable challenge to learn something new.
