After using Quicken basic and Quicken deluxe I strongly recommend quicken basic over any other more advanced product, KISS is the way to go.

If you need nore advanced software buy something additional for accounting purposes.

I thought it was time for an upgrade, since I was still using Quicken 2000. Quicken 2007 has a more pleasant, colorful screen and arrangement of accounts. I do not transfer my transactions in from our financial institutions. Instead, I just enter them in myself, so a basic product is just fine for me. I don't need the bells and whistles. I feel no need to upgrade each year. I felt that it was time to upgrade to a more recent edition, and not getting so far behind that perhaps my data couldn't be converted. BTW, my data conversion happened smoothly, without any problems. I enjoy using Quicken 2007. It fits my needs exactly and was good price.

Performs all basic functions which was what I was looking for. I'm using this on a MAC (Parallels) and Quicken 2007 is far superior to the Quicken For Mac.
