I have used QB pro for years with several small businesses and find it invaluable...until it has a problem. I am buying 2 copies of 2002 not for the upgrade, but because it might be cheaper than paying $40 for every 10 minutes ($240 hour????) of tech support to try to fix a problem that intuit does not guarantee to fix (compatibility of my otherwise fine QB Pro 99 with windows XP). This charge is absolute usery and does not have a guarantee!I would very highly recommend looking at the options if you are not a QB user already. I can't recommend other programs as I am trapped in QB (or rather Quicksand?), and to try to leave now could cause far more trouble than it is worth.

Lousy tech and customer support!,

I have used Intuit products for a decade and a half, including Quickbooks and Quicken. They used to be one of the BEST customer service and technical support companies around. Now they are near the bottom! And I'm not writing this on a whim. I'm talking from years of experience with them. The past few years has been horrible. They charge a lot of money for technical support now, which used to be free. When it was free it was great. Now that I'm paying an arm and a leg for it, they suck. The eSupport center that I paid good money to use has not worked for almost a half a year now and no one has been able to tell me why. In fact, they say it works when it clearly simply DOES NOT WORK! If you are a long time Quickbooks user you might have to stick with it because it is too time consuming and expensive to switch all your accounting data to new software.

Intuit: one of the worst customer service companies on the planet. I have had serious problems with my tech support plan, which I paid a lot of money for, over the past 6 months. It took hours of phone calls over months to finally get someone to do something. You know what they did after all that? Gave me one month of tech support for free! How wonderful! What an insult! 6 months of down time on their eSupport, I have purchased their products every year for 15 years, I spent endless hours trying to get this resolved, and they give me 1 month!Also, when they say that with the Premier tech support plan that they GUARANTEE that you won't be on hold for more than 10 minutes, I was on hold for 45 minutes and finally had to hang up. I never did reach a tech support person. When I talked to them about it later, you know what I found out? "Guarantee" means nothing whatsoever. They wouldn't do anything for me. So do I think you should buy this product? Not on your life! Seek a software company that cares at least a little bit about the people who are keeping them in business (their customers).
