5.0 out of 5 stars Quite possibly the best Vocal Trance album to date!
Smooth, heavenly, sultry vocals... INTELLIGENT LYRICS (no cheeseiness)... refreshing innovative music (the tracks are sufficiently different)... music is true to trance (not commercial or pop).

NO FILLERS- all good tracks. Excellent flow of one track to the next as well.

Engelina exhibits good vocal range, easily... and complements the music...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice voice... but...
I personally loved this CD when I first got it. Engelina's voice is beautiful. However like I saw on another review on here, it's pretty much hit-pop-trance-type music. Every song is unique, and definetely "radio-ready." Great if you like this type. Chicane and DJ Sammy I would definetely recommend, too. Three stars. Deserve every single one...

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite possibly the best Vocal Trance album to date!, August 6, 2004

Engelina exhibits good vocal range, easily... and complements the music perfectly. I'd say Engelina is in the same league with Justine Suissa of OceanLab.

I prefer this album to the Ian Van Dahl one another person raved about, which is also good but doesn't have the same flow as this. Have a look at FRAGMA, Milk Inc and Sylver as well.

One thing though: the first two tracks on the CD sound like a vinyl record. There is a background hiss and slight scratchiness... NOT good for this calibre of music. Other than that, the rest of the production is clean. So the CD is really 4.5 stars (but there aren't half-stars).

Don't hesitate to buy the album though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting Trance, April 23, 2002

How many CD's can you name that you're in LOVE with ten out of thirteen tracks for a number of reasons, and the rest of them are ones that you can definitly say you like? Never had that experience before? If you like dance/DJ music at all, get this CD. Now, this should fall into the techno/trance category, but it really isn't restricted to that group. The title "Intuition" and the cover of the CD with all the peaceful scenery hints at ambience, but it's not that, it's just very uplifting sounds. This is one of those CD's that you get, and you go back to listen to the samples on the website, and you realize what a horrible job Amazon did on choosing what parts of the songs to sample. Don't judge it by these samples. We've all heard I See Right Through To You, and that's track 3 -- but just because its the hit song on the radio, and you've never heard of any of these other songs, don't think its the best on here. Oh no, I can think of 4 or 5 tracks I enjoy a lot more than that one. And I'm beyond the hearing-it-for-the-first-time stage, where it "just sounds cool"... I'm in the appreciation stage. I've listened to every track 5-6 times every day for the last month, and I really appreciate these songs. It doesn't get old. It's a must have.

5.0 out of 5 stars European Techno/ Trance POP at its BEST, February 26, 2002
By

This review is from: Intuition (Audio CD)
WOW! This album is OUTSTANDING. It is filled with SUPERB DANCE, TRANCE, TECHNO, and POP songs with INFECTIOUS MELODIES. Yes, I did say POP. Every song on this album is a potential HIT SINGLE. The best way to describe their sound is ACE OF BASE meets FRAGMA. The beautiful and catchy melodies are enhanced by great synth lines and great female vocals. Anyone who is a fan of such performers as FRAGMA, ACE OF BASE, EIFFEL 65, SARINA PARIS, OR MILK INC. should DEFFINITELY CHECK THIS ALBUM OUT. Even if you are not a dance music fan, this album still has beautiful and melodious songs to offer and is definitely worth buying. After one listen, I could not get this album out of my CD player. "Repeat Button" will become your best friend when you are listening to this ETERNAL MUSIC MASTERPIECE, and you will press 'repeat' on every single track. Hope DJ Encore will release another album, and hope it will be released in United States. EUROPEAN (in this case Scandinavian) DANCE AND TECHNO POP RULE. This is an album that NO ONE should miss. Thank you and enjoy this great album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptionally good commercial vocal/pop trance, March 14, 2005
This review is from: Intuition (Audio CD)
DJ Encore feat. Engelina is probably the best commercial vocal trance that actually strives to stay more along the lines of Trance than groups like Lasgo (which are synth-pop more than they are trance, and very generic at that), while at the same time defeating other counterparts musically such as Ian Van Dahl, which only managed to crank out two decent mainstream tracks "Castles In The Sky" and "Will I".

Get this album, you won't be disappointed. My favorite song is "Walking In The Sky". "I See Right Through To You" is also a fantastic introduction song to vocal trance (while still incorporating pop and a mainstream attitude for beginners).

All the songs are very nice and it's not often you'll find a CD with so many pleasant songs.

Furthermore, if you like this, I highly recommend that you check out some REAL quality vocal trance (that's far less commercial), check out:

Kirsty Hawkshaw - Fine Day (Mike Koglin Radio Edit)
OceanLab - Satellite
OceanLab - Beautiful Together
Rimini Project - Sounds Good
Rimini Project - A Day In The Sun
Rimini Project - No More Goodbye
Rimini Project - Forever
Rimini Project - Sometimes When We Touch
(Almost everything by Rimini Project is outstanding)
DJ Tiesto feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw - Just Be
Swayzak feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw - State Of Grace
Tomski feat. Jan Johnston - Love Will Come

This is the One CD that i can listen to from start to finish without skipping any songs... Engelinas voice is so smooth with the synths behind it. The best song on the album is "high on life" it was supposed to be the next single... but was never released... this album is worth buying!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular! A rare find!, December 29, 2003
This review is from: Intuition (Audio CD)
I'm constantly on the search for new, constant-beat music to pump up my workouts. Was I ever thrilled to find "Intuition." Not only is there a consistent beat (120+ per minute) but the music is enthralling and Engelina's sultry voice is enough to lift you to new heights of athletic performance.
Like other reviewers have commented, this CD isn't a one-hit wonder. Almost all the songs are good. Sure, most have the same type of undertones but that just means if you like one, you're almost certain to like them all. Good job!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very worthy purchase. You will not be disappointed., April 26, 2003

This is by far one of the best CD's ive bought in a while I have purchased many cds in hopes of the rest of the cd being as good as the single hit you'd hear on a radio. While many would leave me disappointed, I certainly have not been in this case.

They are more commonly know for their songs "Walking in the sky" and "I see right through to you". While most cd's usually only come with one chart topper this one comes with two leading me to believe this was a worthy purchase. The rest of the CD has a great complilation of songs written with contemporary dance rythms and slower paced music, offering a nice mix of tunes.

Overall, ive been very happy with the disc in its entirety and its definately going to be a keeper for some time to come. I'd highly recommend this cd if you're interested in artists such as dj sammy and kylie minogue

This album is SOLID! If you like Ian Van Dahl, 4 Strings and/or Dj Sammy, you'll LOVE Dj Encore! Each song gives you a euphoric surge! I listen to this album non-stop: during my commute to work; going for a run, etc. Tracks 3 through 8 are amazing! Clearly, one of my favorite albums!

5.0 out of 5 stars Party now has a Definition with this CD...., February 18, 2003
By
This review is from: Intuition (Audio CD)
This CD brings a new definition with this CD. DJ Encore's beats mixed with the Smooth vocals of Engelina will make everyone get up and move. Although a majority of this CD is fast dance songs, There are song's that are blended in (Like "Out There") that changes the vibe but still gets you going....

Songs like :

Open your eyes
Walking in the sky
High on Life
You've Got A Way

and the famous....
I See Right Through You

are Party songs. They all have Fantastic beats and Instrumentals to go with Englina's smooth voice to create awsome dance tracks.

In other areas, songs like "Intuition" and the AWSOME "Out There" gives more of a Pop track which slows things down from all the Fast Beats....

Songs I didn't enjoy were "Stay" and "Chemistry" .... for some reason I can't listen to them... but over all the CD is great for Dance Music Lovers....

4 and a Half Stars....
