Book Description

I don’t open my eyes so I can’t see him, but I can smell him. He thickens the air I breathe, choking me with his scent…his aroma. I shiver. I have to resist. If I’m not strong, then I will be relegated to the same fate as this predator whose sickness infects me even now. But now, I crave him and he knows that; he has been counting on my need to end the gnawing pain. How he would savor my surrender. I’m alive, but how much longer will it take until I beg him not to be?

5.0 out of 5 stars Whole Other Level! January 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read the first book (Inescapable) in a few days and really liked it! You become pretty invested in the characters, but nothing like you do in this book! Amy Bartol creates a much more complex world and brings the drama and romance to a whole other level. At the end of this book I was dying to know what happens in the third one. I loved the introduction of the new characters SPOILER ALERT:I cannot tell you how much more I love this villain vs the one introduced in the first one. Such a great and fun read that has you begging for more at the end! Can't wait for the 3rd installment!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Kept me up all night! January 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is the 2nd book in the Premonition Series & I can't believe Ms. Bartol was able to out do book one. I read a lot of paranormal genre books, but this series is outstanding! Rarely do I stay up past midnight reading. I can usually put a book down & let my better judgement win out on the fact that I have to get up in the morning. Intuition is so engrossing & action packed, I couldn't turn my kindle off.
I am on pins & needles to know what will happen next. Like a reviewer above, I don't want to read the excerpt from the next book. It will be too much of a tease to bear!

5.0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS! January 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Intuition was...FANTASTIC! I could not bring myself to read the preview of Indebted because I want to read it all and it's not out yet! Very action packed. There were a couple of times I was crying too. I love books that bring all sorts of emotions out and Intuition doesn't disappoint!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Grab the hankies! February 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Intuition picks up with the same intensity as Inescapable. Again, Evie is so full of emotional turmoil, her weakness seems to be her love and loyalty for those around her. She will do anything to avoid hurting anyone else or putting them in danger as she becomes used to the idea that she is half angel, and not fully evolved. (Her total powers have not been realized.)

Changing POVs was a nice touch, although, Russel's speech was decidedly 'good ole boy' talk! Russel is deep, he is so in love with Evie, definitely her soul mate since time began! The pain he tries to hide because in this life Evie wants Reed, is sometimes hard to read and remember this is FICTION!

Enter Brennus, leader of the Gancanaugh, undead Fae, yep vampire-like faeries who chose this 'unlife' over true death. His manner of speech is definitely classic and I began to 'hear' him in my head! I got a little scared at this point, I was seeing shades of another series with 'puppy piles' and screamed, "NOOOOOO!" Whew! Its all good, Evie can't help her natural magnetism, and she doesn't lose sight of how she needs to survive for Reed, for her friends and new family. Her rescue is big screen epic!!!!!!

Again, Amy Bartol has put so much into this series, down to the finest details, that these books are a joy to read! On to book three!

2.0 out of 5 stars I'm a bit done with series October 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you can make it past the first half of the first book, it gets really good and you can't put it down. It was positively horrible in the beginning of the first book to the point that I was wandering how the hell she was voted WINNER OF THE UTOPYA 2012 CON AWARD FOR BEST DEBUT NOVEL. After reading a review to just stick with it and it gets much better later on it the book I fell in love with the characters.

I will say that I was hooked by the end of book one and half-way into book two. Even the annoying use is "ya" with Russell's character did not deter me from immediately buying book two but I draw the line at how Evie has evolved. There was so much promise and potential with that character but she has ultimately turned her into a crybaby and certainly not the tough never before seen angel that this book was making her out to be. I got so tired of all the whining and the stupid decisions that Evie makes that you really ask yourself and the author...... Is this really a badass super angel you want everyone to believe in?

It especially annoying that she has feelings of love for all these dudes (even into book three) that's its hard to really believe that Reed is number one for all eternity.

I was completely annoyed by Evie by the end of book two that i am not interested in book three and i am so super disappointed about that.

But, oh well. There are plenty of good stories to get wrapped up in.

4.0 out of 5 stars Yep I'm hooked again! June 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Amy does a great job keeping you enthralled with the characters. Evie and Reed are like no other. I am amazed that being 40 years older than the characters pseudo ages I can relate to the story lines and I feel like I'm there with them. On to volume 3.

More About the Author

I live in Michigan with my husband and our two sons. My family is very supportive of my writing. When I'm writing, they often bring me the take-out menu so that I can call and order them dinner. They listen patiently when I talk about my characters like they're real. They rarely roll their eyes when I tell them I'll only be a second while I finish writing a chapter...and then they take off their coats. They ask me how the story is going when I surface after living for hours in a world of my own making. They have learned to accept my "writing uniform" consisting of a slightly unflattering pink fleece jacket, t-shirt, and black yoga pants. And they smile at my nerdy bookishness whenever I try to explain urban fantasy to them. In short, they get me, so they are perfect and I am blessed. Please visit me at my website:
