This review is from: The Intuitive Body: Discovering the Wisdom of Conscious Embodiment and Aikido (Paperback)
Sometimes even only one sentence or one paragraph in a book makes the whole read worthwhile to only one person...

I'm in the middle of a mid-life crisis (which means I'll live to be 120!) in which I have basically
lost interest in life (but not suicidally! and not without optimistic curiosity)...

Wendy Palmer writes --
"How can we cultivate our sense of interest to the point that it becomes a habit to be interested?
When we are not crowded in by thoughts of 'what if,' 'I hope that,' and 'if only.'
Instead we are poised, soft, and open to what will arise.
We are simply interested in life."

That may sound simplistically simple to you but the subsequent sub-chapters on
"The Fine Art Of Questioning," "The Buoyant State of Curiosoty,"
"The Don't-Know Mind" and especially
the entire following chapter on
"Not-Knowing" were, for lack of
a better way to say it -- of
invaluable "interest" to
this reader.
