Editorial Reviews

Dr. Deb Snyder provides parents with wise guidance for raising intuitive children. Her poignant stories and practical advice are a must-read for anyone who desires a greater connection with the children they love.
—Lynn A. Robinson, author of Divine Intuition and Listen

Debra Snyder has harnessed her intuition and heart to become a conscious observer of the process of parenting in the newly emerging Intuition Age. I love this! It's about time parents began to understand the soul dynamics of their children, and how kids' energy patterns actually work. We need integrated children to be the leaders in the complex energy-based reality that's coming.
—Penney Peirce, author of Frequency and The Intuitive Way

My first experience of Debra Snyder was meeting her in person. Her authentic, intuitive, expansive and compassionate self infuses her writing. The insights and honesty of Debra’s journey resonates throughout this book—there is wisdom here for all of us.
—Joyce Whitelely Hawkes, PhD, author of Cell-Level Healing

Debra Snyder's book does three things that a terrific book does: educates, motivates, and inspires. Do you believe that parents sometimes have a "sixth sense" about their children? If so, are you curious to know how to develop that sixth sense further? Then this is THE BOOK to read. It is absolutely inspiring--the author's personal story of raising a daughter who was born with a severe brain malformation cannot fail to touch your heart and soul. But the book also describes practical tools for parents to develop a more attuned sixth sense. I've read a few reviews that dismiss any such claims as "new age." I was trained in the scientific method. One thing that method taught me is to be curious about evidence that shows "something" is happening that does not fit traditional views. Heightened intuitive capabilities and psychic phenomena have been studied for decades and findings overall suggest that we can receive information from more than our usual five senses. THAT intrigues me. Debra Snyder's book reveals that something "out of the ordinary" such as heightened intuitive understanding of one's child happens for parents--and it may not be so out of the ordinary as you think.

Read this book with an open mind and heart. There is truth in this book.

"Our children are our teachers and our guides," Debra Snyder wrote in Intuitive Parenting. From when my sons were tiny babies, I've believed that I learned as much from them as they do from me, probably more. But I've never understood this on such a deep level until I read this beautiful book.

"Come with me!" Deb invites in her book. Who could resist her welcoming, friendly, confident tone? I enjoyed the journey of reading her book immensely. Deb's story of her daughter, Reagan, is incredible, and I couldn't put the book down. Through her HeartGlow Exercises, I've learned how better to tune in to my own intuition--and more importantly to respect it.

I highly recommend this book to all parents. You'll never look at your children the same way again.

Researchers have described new parenthood as a "normative crisis," and all parents recognize the ways in which the challenges of caring for a completely dependent new-born infant is a complex and transformative experience. The unique challenges of caring for a special-needs infant, whom doctors do not even expect to survive, raises this normative crisis to a new level. Debra Snyder powerfully describes the journey that began with the birth of her daughter, from an initial fear and despair which opened miraculously into deeper and more expansive ways of understanding her daughter's experience. She learns to communicate intuitively and energetically with a young soul who has no words of her own. And she gently shows the rest of us how to enhance these capacities in our relationships with our own children. This is more than just a book on is a love letter written by an exceptional mother to her extraordinary daughter.

An excellent book that is not just for parents. I read this in part because I know the author, and wanted to learn more about the journey she and her family have taken. But more importantly, reading her blog posts and having her input into my own struggles with getting doctors to listen to me when I *knew* something was wrong, but they just wouldn't listen, refused to hear me, refused to perform tests that I believed in my heart were necessary led me to believe that this book would have something to teach me.

I just didn't realize how much I would learn. This is a book that I will read over and over again, because I believe different passages will hold different meanings to me at different points in my life. Things that resonate strongly today may not be the things that resonate next week. And the exercises at the end of each chapter are things that will allow me to grow as a person, as well as help me focus my energy on healing some of my body's weaknesses.

Thanks, Deb, for writing such an inspirational book! Peace and love to you and yours!

I would first like to say this book has not only inspired me to be a better parent but has also inspired me to be a better person. The book begins with Debra's own experiences with her child who will never be able to verbally communicate. As a mother my heart goes out to her and I commend her for having the strength to take a situation in which most parents would have given up and turn it into something as beautiful as this book.

I believe the majority of mothers out there would agree there is a special bond between mother and child. I know with my own daughter I can tell if she is hungry, sleepy, in need of attention... My husband is amazed at the fact he can try everything to calm her down to no avail but I can just listen to her heart and tell him exactly what she wants or needs.

A few months ago I started to rely more on my daughters verbal skills and less on intuition. I encouraged her to verbalize what she wanted and I was beginning to loose trust in the nonverbal communication we shared when she was younger. I felt this was just a normal progression but this book showed me it doesn't have to be. I continue to encourage my daughter to learn words but I also communicate with her through my heart. We all know it is difficult to verbalize how you feel in every situation. I believe this book has given me an advantage over the average parent. I can hear my daughters words but also feel her heart and understand what she is truly trying to tell me. I hope to never lose the bond my daughter and I share and I credit this book for giving me the skills I will need to continue to strengthen our relationship.
