Suguri Settles Into Her New Job, January 15, 2008
This review is from: Inubaka: Crazy for Dogs, Vol. 2 (Paperback)
I'm glad I bought the second book in this series. Even though the dogs in the first volume were SO DARN CUTE! For a series that seems to be targeted towards young teenage girls (who can resist all those cute fluffy dogs?!) there were too many shots geared towards fan boys.
Plus, there doesn't seem to be any chemistry between Suguri and Teppei (the shop owner), which seemed natural to expect!
But this one gets five stars -- not only for the amazing artwork -- but the story. Suguri's life at Woofles is fairly intriguing and she meets all kinds of er, hmm, interesting people. The girl who adopted the chihuahua in the first volume makes a (minor) reappearance. We also meet a fanboy (ha, ha), Teppei's 'rival' who owns the main pet shop, a famous actress and a Korean street musician who is afraid of dogs but has a crush on Suguri.
Altogether an entertaining volume, highly recommended!

This is a great manga. This continues as Suguri works at Woofles. Ha, you will be laughing through this one. Probably through them all! An actress is filming a bread commercial with a dog. His ear suddenly flops over. This is not acceptable. What will happen? Will the commercial stop or will they continue with bad form?? Read to find out! BWAHAHAHAHA
